MK 4.5 2.2 TDCI won't start when warm. My 2.2 TDCI won't start when it's warm. Starts absolutely fine when it's cold. It'll only start with a small squirt of easystart. If I switch the engine off after a drive, it won't restart if left for around 20 seconds or longer until it has cooled down for an hour or so.

First thing I'd try is to get yourself a good strong charged battery and try that. If it still turns over slow then try cleaning/replacing the starter motor. Once you've got it cranking good if it still doesn't start then I'd replace the fuel filter and fully bleed the fuel system.

Try using jump leads to another car. - a clear exit for the exhaust gasses (blocked catalytic converter) will prevent it from starting. What I'd do next is crack each injector pipe whilst turning the engine and make sure fuel is getting to the injector.
