Hi Guys, Fixed this issue, lots of googling searching later I assumed the IMRC solenoid was faulty or the IRMC vacuum actuator (this fault code points toward the solenoid..), hard to find information as it is pertinent to the 2.0l duratec and even US/UK engines the parts are different to local focus.

I used a code reader and it showed up as P2008 intake manifold runner control circuit open. So basically the inlet manifold runner control is a vacuum operated system that closes flaps inside the air intake to help with air flow at low revs and apparently increase mpg. So on my car mk2.5 1.8 duratec the placement of parts is as follows.

i also had the p2008 fault code (bluetooth OBD adapter and torque app for android), which occured several times.. sometimes it went off by its own, sometimes i had to erase the code from ECU. I have a olvo S40 with 1.8 l petrol engine, manual transmission from the year 2007. Then i replaced the part which is called : SWIRL SOLENOID TUMBLE VALVE

I have had my 2006 focus 2 litre petrol tested came back with PZ008 fault code, the person what tested says it is on intake manifold and said it would be quite expensive to repair, anyone else have any experience of the fault. I don't think PZ008 is a real/valid ODB code, P=Powertrain, but the 2nd character is usually a 0 or a 1
