When we switched back to my Windows User Account, the non-launch problem persisted, and still is at time of printing. As such it would appear that the non--launch issue is caused by corruption somewhere in the Windows User Profile files. We could not work out where, but at least it narrows down the problem.

Search for a folder named AppData Then open Roaming -> My Battle for Middle Earth Files. You'll probably find that the folder is empty. If it is, open up notepad and save new file to that folder.

Just recently bought a new computer and updated it to windows 10. After downloading Lotr Bfme 2 I found that it would not open upon startup.
